Water and electricity need careful handling, so bathrooms have their own rules – zones, IP ratings and RCD protection. We fit showers, fans, lighting and heating that comply, and certificate the work.
What we install
- Electric showers (including upgrading the cable and breaker for a higher-kW unit)
- Extractor fans – on timer, humidity sensor or linked to the light
- IP-rated ceiling lights and downlights
- Shaver sockets and mirror lights

- Pull-cord or outside-the-door switching
Zones explained simply
Zone 0 is inside the bath or shower tray; zone 1 is directly above it; zone 2 is 60 cm either side. Each zone limits what can be fitted and how waterproof it must be. We choose fittings to suit, so you do not have to learn the regulations.
Working with your plumber or bathroom fitter
As with kitchens, timing matters. We first-fix before tiling and second-fix once the room is finished. Send us the layout and we will plan the electrics around it.
Common questions
Can I have a normal socket in the bathroom?
Only if it is more than 3 m from the bath or shower and RCD protected – in most bathrooms that rules it out. A shaver socket is the usual alternative.
